To follow the steps

1. Initial Design Consultation

After your initial phone or email contact with our office, a Solid Build designer will get in touch to discuss your renovation and extension requirements.

2. Preliminary Measure & Design

Following the consultation, Solid Build’s designers will visit your property to photograph the exterior and measure your property to get the correct dimensions of your existing home. Using this information, we will create some design plans of your extension.

3. Design Presentation

After we develop an initial plan, our designer will discuss and present the concept to you. At this stage, you may discuss any amendments that you require. A one-off preliminary design fee is required at this stage.

4. Budget estimate

After initial plans and specifications are completed, we will estimate the total price of the project, so we have a solid, agreed, budget. Once this is agreed, you will be presented with the Agreement to sign, and the first stage payment is required.

5. Working Drawings

The first stage payment covers the cost of any fees or charges relating to the build, extension or renovation, such as, the soil test, structural engineering, working drawings, town planning (if required) and any other items.

6. Contract signed

Once the design elements and drawings have been agreed, the building contract needs to be signed.

7. Building works begin

Our team will obtain the necessary permits and work can begin. We will have the insurances required and organise a pre-work meeting to discuss work schedules and explain fully the build process. All construction will be site-managed by Solid Build.

8. Completion of Project

When the project is finished, we will send the certificates of completion, warranty insurance and the certificate of final inspection for your project.

Then you can enjoy your new home renovation or extension for many years to come.
